Marco Falconi

His main activity in ISPRA (Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) is supporting the Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea in the technical control of Characterization Plans, Risk Analyses, Remediation Projects, Monitoring Plans, Emergency Safety Measures in the 42 contaminated sites of national interest. He has authored numerous reports and guidelines on the topic of land and contaminated site management with Italian and international institutions.

 

Marco Falconi is member of the IMPEL Expert Group "Water and Land" and member of the European Environment Information and Observation Network (EIONET) as NRC for soil. He collaborates or has collaborated with several international institutions such as EEA, European Commission, JRC, UN Environment, FAO, on different aspects concerning soil and groundwater, as well as with several universities in Italy and abroad (Georgia State University-USA, University of Paris Est Marne la Vallée-France, Hebei Safea-China, Rajagiri-India).
